Shape up for Men's Health Week

Men's Health Week is June 15-21. The goal of this national holiday is to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys.

Here are a few tips on how you can make simple, yet impactful changes.

  • Plan a 'Wear Blue' Day. Choose an organization to raise money for like the Prostate Cancer Foundation. Create teams, set your goal amount and pick a day to go all out from blue accessories to head-to-toe blue work attire. Make it fun! Put together a contest for the best 'Blue' attire.

  • Set up an educational men's health presentation, such as a nutrition or stress-reduction seminar, or healthy cooking class.

  • Try a new sport or activity like Yoga, Karate or Tai Chi. Bring an instructor in to the office for everyone to participate.

  • Schedule a screening, such as heart attack or stroke to identify any risk and take action immediately.

Most importantly, take care of yourself and treat YOU right! For more ideas or resources, please contact us.
